Hi! Well, now this is funny! You caught me stacking my toilet paper. It’s something I do to soothe myself after a long day, sort of like a toddler — stack it up, knock it down; stack it up, knock it down — and yes I always do it in a dress and heels, but here are some facts about toilet paper:
Sari Fordham, who is like a toilet paper guru, a shaman, my TP Yoda, taught me that a lot of toilet paper is actually made from old-growth forests. WHAT?, I cried, devastated. I don’t need to kill a 300-year-old tree to wipe my tuchus.
So I did a little research. The Forest Stewardship Council has rated several of the main brands of toilet paper based on sustainability (see above). You can see here that Ever Spring, Trader Joe’s Organic, Whole Foods, Who Gives a Crap!, and Seventh Generation all get an A rating for not cutting down old-growth forests.
Scott, Charmin, Angel Soft, and Cottonelle get an F. They are not sustainable.
Forests are the lungs of our planet, which makes them the lungs of us. So I decided to make the switch to Who Gives a Crap! It comes in zero-plastic packaging and works just fine. (I did have my credit card temporarily frozen because the card company seemed to think a decorous lady like me wouldn’t order 50 rolls of something called Who Gives a Crap! But I called them, explained it was toilet paper, and the lady laughed and got it all sorted out in less than ten minutes. :) )
There are other sustainable brands:

I am disappointed that Seventh Generation cannot overcome its use of plastic when so many other brands have, but maybe they will make the switch soon.
In the meantime, hey, we all gotta do what we gotta do and if going to the bathroom is in your future, which I expect and hope that it is, consider a sustainable toilet paper. :) This is what literally everyone I know is getting for Christmas. YOU’RE WELCOME in advance.
^^ I do!!
I appreciate your readership and the fact that you care.

p.s. I do not actually stack my paper except for Cool It promotional purposes.
